Leanne Paxton

BSc (Hons) DC
Senior Principal Chiropractor, Owner

Leanne grew up in North Devon where she developed a keen love of the outdoors. During her studies at A-Level she first came across Chiropractic and grew more interested in following it as a career path which aligned to a childhood wish to become a manual therapist like her grandmother.

In 2003 Leanne graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic and has gained extensive experience helping all ages with all manner of complaints over the past 20 plus years. Now a mum of two, she enjoys a busy family life in Derby, where she maintains an enthusiasm for Chiropractic and its place in the medical system.

She is passionate about offering a service that is thorough, biomechanical and evidence based, which provides solutions but acknowledges the difficulties of optimal wellbeing in a modern world. Leanne feels strongly that each treatment plan be tailored to the individual, encompassing varying techniques and education, so together we can identify and work on causes, not only symptoms.

Leanne is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and is a member of the British Chiropractic Association.

In her spare time, Leanne enjoys walking in countryside with the family, friends, and their dog Pippa. She likes to keep fit and active through a variety of exercise classes and outdoor pursuits. She also loves to cook and is often excited about a new recipe.

Charlotte Ames

BSc
Chiropractor

Charlotte was born in Cambridge and moved to Derbyshire in 2009, where she quickly found a home in the beauty of the Peak District. When she was first introduced to chiropractic in 2019, the profession felt like a natural fit, combining her interest in human biology with a hands-on approach to helping people.

In 2020, Charlotte began her chiropractic studies in Bournemouth at Health Sciences University (formerly AECC College). Since her return, she is continuing her professional development through the Post Registration Training (PRT) programme hosted by the Royal College of Chiropractors, supporting her commitment to ongoing learning and reflective practice.

Following completion of her PRT training, Charlotte is keen to further develop her skills in paediatric care, an area that sparked her interest during her university placement. She has seen how even small changes early in life can have a meaningful impact on both children and their families, and is eager to continue supporting the community where she can.

Charlotte takes an evidence-based and biomechanical approach to care, with a strong focus on working closely with her patients. She recognises that people are the experts in their own bodies and believes the best results come from working together. By combining her clinical knowledge with each person’s individual experience, she aims to provide care that feels supportive, personalised, and tailored to each patient’s goals.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring historical National Trust sites, usually followed by an essential stop at the café for a well-earned coffee and cake. You may also find her visiting farm shops, getting lost in a good book, or trying her hand at new hobbies such as tennis (often with more enthusiasm than technique!).

Fred Chell

BSc, MCSP, HCPC
Physiotherapist

Fred is a HCPC registered Physiotherapist, having graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a BSc in Physiotherapy. He has valuable experience working across both sports and musculoskeletal settings, including working with University of Derby, Notts County F.C and through student placements within MSK outpatient services. These experiences have allowed him to develop strong assessment, rehabilitation, and patient-management skills while working with a wide variety of individuals and conditions.

Growing up heavily involved in Rugby, Cricket, and Badminton, alongside his continued passion for Running and resistance training, he has developed a strong understanding of the physical demands placed on the body through sport, training, and everyday life. His own involvement in fitness has strengthened his appreciation for structured rehabilitation, strength training, recovery, and injury prevention.

Fred enjoys working with individuals from all backgrounds, whether supporting athletes aiming to optimise performance or helping people return to full function and confidence in daily activities. His approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation with holistic, patient-centred care, ensuring treatment is tailored to the individual as a whole rather than simply focusing on the injury itself.

His aim is to help people move better, feel stronger, and improve their long-term physical health and confidence in both sport and everyday life.
